Illegal immigrants from four different countries will soon lose their parole status. This includes people from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela. The parole program has allowed qualified illegal immigrants to receive a range of financial services funded by U.S. taxpayers, and to legally work in the United States. With their parole now ending, they will need to find other legal means to stay in the country, although a number of legal loopholes could allow many to continue working. We’ll discuss this issue and more in this episode of Crossroads.
